Which Cellular Carrier takes the Crown?
Which cell phone company is the best? in terms of signal, coverage, speed, overall reliability? OpenSignal answers all these questions and more in their new in depth look at the state of our mobile networks. Recently Verizon and T-Mobile took their battle on twitter this past Sunday on Super Bowl 50. They tweeted each other pictures comparing speed results from a Verizon phone and a T-Mobile phone. OpenSignal is stating that T-Mobile has increased its LTE coverage to 81% in the fourth quarter -matching AT&T and closing the gap with Verizon. From OpenSignal website:
- U.S. 4G average 9.9 Mbps compared to global download average of 13.5 Mbps.
- Verizon still the network to beat when it comes to network reliability, but T-Mobile is coming close.
- Speed comparison in 11 largest U.S. cities, T-Mobile edges out Verizon.
